How do you decide what cat furniture to buy for your cat?

Think about what cats like to do.  First, they like to scratch, so cat furniture with a scratching post or made with good quality carpet for years of scratching is a good idea.  Also, you want to get cat furniture with a stable base.  My little 4-pound kitty from the shelter grew up to be a 15-pound Maine Coon.  The first cat condo I bought her started to tip over with her on it, and she wouldn’t use it any more, so I had to upsize.

Also, I was told by a friend that she had a friend with eight cats.  I can’t imagine.  However, she bought one REALLY BIG cat tree, and that’s all she needed to do to keep all her furry friends happy.

Cats Love to be Warm

Did you know that the average cat’s body temperature is 102 degrees?  That must be why they sleep in the sun or in front of the fire so much.

A heated cat bed will make your cat snuggle and sleep very happily.

The Water Fountain

Michie with Drinkwell Pet Water Fountain

This is my cat, Michie, drinking from her water fountain.

As you can read on the About Us page, she developed struvite crystals and almost died.  The veterinarian said that she needed to keep drinking a lot of water and said that I needed to get a “bubbler.”  I finally realized she was talking about a water fountain.

I knew she loved to drink from the bathroom sink faucet, so I figured she’d go for it — which she did.  She loves it.

It’s now been over a year, and her last vet check came out perfectly healthy, so we both love the Drinkwell Pet Fountain and highly recommend it to any cat lovers.
